SPRING HAS SPRUNG! 🪻

🪺 It is all about nesting with most of our species! Chickadees, Nuthatches, Sparrows, House Finches, Woodpeckers and many more begin building their nest in April. Be sure to put out all of your Nesting Boxes right away, so they can assess their options! 😉 And don't forget to set out nesting materials in your yard.

🐝Here in Western Washington our native Mason Bees are starting to emerge!

🐞 Have you noticed Aphids on your flowers and plants yet? We sell Ladybugs starting in April. Please do not use pesticides - they are so harmful to Birds! Why not let Ladybugs do their work and get rid of Aphids the natural way! Call the shop to check for availability at 206-367-1950.

🌿 Now is the time to think about Native Plants! April is a good time for planting. And Native Plants are very beneficial for our birds, Butterflies 🦋
and all of the Pollinators. We will be selling Native Plants here in the shop in the latter part of April. Be watching our Facebook page for the announcement of their arrival!

🌼 Are you seeing bright flashes of yellow in your yard? Our state bird, the AMERICAN GOLDFINCH has molted into their breeding plumage - bright, bold yellow! Very fun to see after our gray winter. Offer our Finch Blend to attract them to your yard!
